is not a specific type of fabric, but actually a special a weave
that is made of loop construction.
Berber is often made from olefin, but may also come in nylon, wool, or a blend.
Berber requires a more thorough cleaning than other carpets because a deep "flushing" action needed to get under, around, and through the loops.
Other companies that are not as thorough and do not understand the construction of berber and the cleaning chemistry required to get it clean have problems with Berber. Without really understanding this type of fiber construction leads to inferior results.
